We’re excited to announce CodoBookings v1.1.0, the latest update to our WordPress booking plugin! This release marks a significant milestone: CodoBookings has fully transitioned from a PMPro extension to a standalone booking system, while keeping a modular architecture ready for future add-ons, integrations, and extensions.

🎯 What’s New in v1.1.0

Standalone Booking Engine
Previously, CodoBookings relied on Paid Memberships Pro to function. Now it’s a fully independent booking management system that works out-of-the-box for any WordPress site — no dependencies required.

Modular Architecture for Extensions
This release lays the foundation for future integrations:

  • 🧩 PMPro Integration – Restrict or enable bookings by membership level
  • 🛒 WooCommerce Integration – Sell bookings as WooCommerce products
  • 📅 Google Calendar Sync – Automatically sync bookings with personal or business calendars
  • 💬 Custom Email Templates – Tailor notifications, confirmations, and reminders

Dashboard Widgets & System Overview
Admin users can now see a comprehensive overview of active calendars, total bookings, and Google Calendar connectivity directly from the WordPress dashboard. And thanks to our new extendable hooks, developers can easily add custom rows or stats to the overview table.

Recurring Booking Logic
Weekly recurring bookings are fully supported. The plugin now intelligently counts upcoming bookings for the next week, ensuring you stay on top of both single and recurring appointments.

Improved Email Notifications
Basic admin and user email notifications are now HTML-based and extendable. Future extensions will allow overriding templates for full customization while keeping the current notifications functional by default. Admins can enable or disable email notifications globally using the new settings tab.

🧩 Developer-Friendly Hooks

CodoBookings v1.1.0 is built with extensibility in mind. Developers can hook into several actions and filters to customize functionality:

  • codobookings_admin_overview_stats – Add custom stats or rows to the admin dashboard widget
  • codobookings_booking_created – Triggered when a new booking is created
  • codobookings_booking_status_changed – Fires when a booking status is updated
  • codobookings_emails_sent – Fires when a booking confirmation email is sent
  • codobookings_status_email_sent – Fires when a booking status change email is sent

These hooks allow seamless integration with future modules like WooCommerce, Google Calendar, and advanced notification systems.
